P-Square Debunks Bloggers' Allegations On Their 'Parting Ways'
The Public Relations Executive to P-Square, Bayo Adetu, commented on the allegations in a talk with Premium Times, tagged the reports as ‘irresponsible blogging’:
“I am too busy to give some wanna be blogger traffic, I don’t know where that report is coming from. Maybe they just want to get traffic to their site. It’s baseless and untrue”.
It would be recalled that a tweet by Jude Okoye in the morning of April 18, 2014, Friday, had been interpreted as his intention to quit after “over 10yrs of hard work”. Moreover Jude has recently kicked off his own record label, Northside Entertainment.
Despite the tweet, Jude’s Twitter bio remains:
“President/C.E.O Square Records, Northside Music Inc and Northside Entertainment Ltd. PSquare’s Manager/Producer Director …….what else…mypsquare.com”.
The theme of parting ways in Naija music industry is especially ‘hot’ this week, due to termination of cooperation between Wizkid, Waje and their manager, Godwin Tom
Confession – How A Married Man I Met On BBM Almost Killed Me With S*X And Drugs
I did not know that it was all part of the plan. He gave me N10,000 and put me in a cab to go home the next morning. We kept talking and chatting and sending nak’ed pictures to each other and he told me naughty things of how he wanted to whisper things in my ear, I blushed. We didn’t see for two weeks and that was because his wife just came back from Turkey. One faithful evening, he pinged me that he was organising a beach party/boat cruise and that he would love for me to be his date and that he wanted to open a bbm chat, as a medium for his friends and my friends to interact.

Woman in India Gives Birth to ‘Two-Headed Baby’
A new mother in India gave birth to a set of female twins, who happen to have only separate heads but share the same body. According to the Independent, the babies’ parents could not afford an ultrasound, which would have picked up on their condition in utero. “The parents are very distressed, and we are helping the family the best we can,” said Dr. Shikha Malik, who delivered the babies. The twins are currently in the hospital’s intensive care unit (ICU), and doctors are worried that they have a very slim chance of survival. The infants were born via cesarean section at Cygnus J.K. Hindu Hospital in Sonipat, Haryana.

They suffer from dicephalic parapagus, meaning they have separate spinal cords, necks and heads, but they share all major limbs and vital organs. Conjoined twins with this condition typically cannot be separated.

Hollande promises to help Nigeria combat Boko Haram
Francois Hollande:promises to help Nigeria |
French President Francois Hollande promised Nigeria support on Thursday in the battle against Islamist group Boko Haram, saying France would always be ready to help combat extremism in defence of democracy.
“Your struggle is also our struggle,” Hollande told delegates at a security conference in the capital Abuja ahead of Nigeria’s unification centenary celebrations.
“We will always stand ready not only to provide our political support but our help every time you need it because the struggle against terrorism is also the struggle for democracy.”
Hollande lamented some of the recent violence perpetrated by suspected Boko Haram fighters, including the massacre earlier this week of at least 59 students in their sleep at a secondary school in the Islamists’ northeast stronghold.
Despite crises in several regions, the French president maintained there was reason for optimism in Nigeria and Africa as a whole.
“Africa has a great future. It’s the continent of tomorrow,” he said.
He however warned that such promise could be “impeded by insecurity”. He then vowed to double French overseas development aid to the continent within the next five years.

Why FG wants ASUU strike to continue
President Goodluck Jonathan and ASUU Chairman, Dr. Isa Faggae

Nigerian
universities have been buffeted with agonising months of strikes for
over a decade and until now, the story is pretty much the same.
Government is still unwilling to give the education sector a shot in the
arm.
The Academic Staff Union of Universities
has been on strike since June 30 and has engaged in a series of
dialogue with the Federal Government over 11 times, albeit,
inconclusively. This underscores the lukewarm posture of government
towards the striking lecturers and from ASUU’s body language and
utterances, it has made it abundantly clear to anyone who cares to
listen that it is ready to continue the strike even if it takes years,
insisting that its decision was adequately taken in a bid to revitalise
Nigerian universities.

Addis Ababa, their football association officials have confirmed.
All ties will take place between October
11 and October 15 and the Ethiopia Football Federation has only now

“We have played our home games on
Sundays and the match against Nigeria will not be an exception,”
commented EFF general secretary Yigsaw Bezuayehu.
PDP crisis: Baraje, Tukur camps clash in Senate
Barely
a week after a similar clash at the House of Representatives,
supporters of the main Peoples Democratic Party and those of the Kawu
Baraje-led faction of the party clashed again at the Senate on
Wednesday.
A timely intervention by Senate
President, David Mark however saved a crisis situation on the floor of
the senate when members were making their contributions on a motion on
the demise of late former Ondo State governor, Dr. Olusegun Agagu.
Trouble started when a former governor
of Gombe State, Danjuma Goje, representing Gombe Central Senatorial
district, while extolling Agagu’s virtues, described himself as a member
of the New PDP with Alhaji Kawu Baraje as the National Chairman.
Ozekhome’s kidnap: SSS arrests gang leader
Mike Ozekhome
There
were indications on Wednesday that a major financier of a kidnapping
ring in Edo and other surrounding states, Kelvin Oburuvbe might have
been arrested by men of the Department of State Security.
It was reliably gathered that the kidnap
kingpin was picked up in Port-Harcourt, Rivers State, by operatives of
DSS and is currently being interrogated.
There were however conflicting reports
that the arrested kidnapper might be the one who recently issued a
60-day ultimatum to the Federal Government to declare amnesty for him
and his gang, otherwise his group would blow up oil installations in
Urobo speaking areas of the country.
